Library Board and Administration

The Newmarket Public Library Board is appointed by the Town of Newmarket Council and is made up of four community members and three councillors. The Library Board is governed by the Public Libraries Act (1990).

Board meetings

The Library Board generally meets the third Wednesday of each month, except July and August. Meetings are open to the public, take place in-person in the Library's Board Room, and start at 5:30 p.m. View dates for Library Board meetings.

If you would like to make a deputation to speak at a Library Board meeting, please contact Administration. You must notify us about your deputation two weeks in advance of the meeting you would like to attend.
