Brainfuse JobNow

Use Brainfuse JobNow for expert coaching and self-study tools for a wide range of career needs. You can access live, on-demand assistance from expert Job Coaches for assistance with interview preparation, resume creation or job searching. Brainfuse offers tests for Adult Learners in math, reading and writing as well as the Canadian Citizenship test.

Brainfuse HelpNow

Access Brainfuse HelpNow for expert academic tutoring and self-study tools. Students can use live, on-demand academic help and skill building lessons from expert tutors. With HelpNow, tutors and students communicate in real time in the online classroom by typing, drawing and marking up lessons and web content. The Brainfuse full-service test center offers practice tests for students of all ages and levels in math, reading and writing as well as college preparatory tests.

Note: the term "Junior High" appears in Brainfuse and represents grades 7 and 8.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning has access to over 16,000 online courses on everything from project management, software development, business to web design. New business, technology and creative courses are added each week.

First time user: Go to the “Your library invites you to LinkedIn Learning" page where you can enter your Library card number and PIN. The first time you enter your information, it will ask you a number of things to set up your account. Once you have set up your account then you will get your home page. At the top right of the page, you will see “Me”. If you click on the drop down arrow beside “Me”, you will see NPL's logo and the sign out link.

Gale Courses

Start an interactive, teacher-led, online class through Gale Courses. There are hundreds of courses starting every month on dozens of topics. All Gale courses are 24 hours long and take 6 weeks to complete. If you pass a final exam you are issued a Certificate of Completion. Take as many as you want. All courses are free to library members.

Mango Languages

Learn a new language with Mango Languages. Create your profile using your library card and choose from over 70 languages including English as a Second Language (ESL). Using the Mango lessons and real world conversations, you listen and speak and get instant feedback that builds confidence. Mango tracks your activity and has helpful support. Learn using your computer or mobile device.

Little Pim

Little Pim is a fun and easy way for children to learn new languages. This is a product from Mango Languages that allows you to teach young children over 360 words and phrases from 12 different languages. This program is designed to teach children from birth to age 6. No foreign language background needed.

G1.ca

Free driver education program.  Includes Ontario-specific information to help prepare for the written part of the G1 driving exam:

  • 6 G1 practice tests for cars
  • 1 M1 practice test for motorcycles
  • 1 G1 test simulator (cars)
  • 1 M1 test simulator (motorcycle)
  • FAQ section with detailed answers to 100+ MTO-related questions
