The Fairy Trail Walk for Esther celebrates children’s literacy in Newmarket while raising funds to support Newmarket Library and honour the memory of Esther Wehrli: an educator and passionate storyteller. Join us and help support the purchase of new children’s books, and new and diverse programs at Newmarket Library!
Event details:
- Activities for the family, including an engaging StoryWalk® along a trail in Fairy Lake with youth volunteers bringing to life a fun and imaginative picture book.
- Children’s Theatre Show: The Adventure of the Little Rooster at the Amphitheatre at 3:30 p.m. When Little Rooster finds a silver coin hilarious consequences abound. A retelling of the folk tale performed by The Grand Salto Theatre with music, dance, puppets and more.
- Prizes for children who come dressed up in their favourite costumes.
