TD Summer Reading Club 2024
Are you ready to launch your reading adventure?
About the Club
The TD Summer Reading Club is back! From June 15 to August 17 kids can join the Club in-person at Newmarket Library. Look for us out in the community for your chance to register on-the-go.
The TD Summer Reading Club offers a variety of free, fun activities for children of all ages to keep them reading all summer long! Club participants can read whatever they’d like throughout the summer and report on the books read to library staff. Show off reading milestones by earning beads and moving your star marker across the universe.

StoryWalks®
Visit two of our community parks from May to September to enjoy a delightful outing that blends nature, storytelling and family fun. Look for AFRO, NO! by Amaya James at Paul Semple Park. This wonderful book explores the sometimes complicated relationship young black girls can have with their hair. Visit Woodland Hills Labyrinth Park to read Etty Darwin and the Four Pebble Problem by Lauren Soloy. Charles Darwin would take daily walks during which he would do much of his thinking. His children were always welcome to join him, and his daughter Etty often did. This charming story imagines what they might have talked about during their walks together.
To Our Title Sponsor
Newmarket Library extends an enormous thank you to TD, the Summer Reading Club’s title sponsor, for its continued generous support and commitment to fostering every child’s love of reading.
