Tours of the Library
We are pleased to offer tours to individuals, schools, daycares and community groups, including an introduction to our Maker Hub. During a tour, we will introduce groups to the many resources and services they can enjoy with a library card. Tours can provide a general overview or they can be customized to suit class assignments or areas of interest to your group.
Class Visits
Library staff can visit your school or organization for an interactive presentation about the Library. We will introduce you to a selection of great new books and showcase Library programs, services and resources. In-person visits are currently only available for locations in Newmarket, Ontario.
A minimum of two weeks’ notice is required when booking a tour or visit and is subject to staff availability.
Library participation in Community Events
Library staff often participate in Newmarket community events to provide storytimes and activities, and to sign people up who request a Library card so they can enjoy all the wonderful Library services and resources available to them. Event participation is subject to staff availability.
