Book Clubs at the Library

Ask about joining our book clubs

We maintain a waiting list for clubs that are full.

Cookbook Club

At each session we'll have a theme and a related cookbook to give you some ideas; then join us online to discuss your latest baking/cooking. Show us a photo or the real thing. We'll chat about baking cooking, recipes and more. Coming up: Charcuterie Boards & Easy Desserts, Eating Healthy for You, Recipes from a Place You’ve been or a Place You’d Like to Go, Rice Recipe Roundup, and Pasta and Pizza.

Dark Evenings Mystery Club

Our Dark Evenings Mystery Club selects great books for mystery fans that will see you through the long, dark nights ahead. All are available through the library's Hoopla service or in print. This seasonal club meets the second Thursday of the month from September to June.

Afternoon Book Club

The Afternoon Book Club offers the choice of fiction and non-fiction reads. We've chosen some intriguing titles that you're sure to enjoy. Members can sign up for a few books or for all. Club meetings are on Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m. in the library's multipurpose room.  Recent titles include Bad Blood by John Carreyrou, Cry of the Kalahari by Mark and Delia Owens, Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson and more.

Copies of the books will be available for pick-up approximately one month before club meeting dates.

Advanced Readers Book Club

The Advanced Readers Book Club is for children aged eight to twelve years old who are interested in reading challenging books like "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett, or "Swindle" by Gordon Korman. Everyone reads the same book and we meet to discuss and do activities based on the book's theme. Meetings are once a month on Thursdays 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

This is a popular program, so please contact us if interested in joining the Advanced Readers Book Club.
