As a community meeting place, the library is a hub of activity. We offer local non-profit organizations serving Newmarket and York Region with the opportunity to connect with hundreds of people who walk through our doors every day. Here’s how you can reach out to people from within the library:

Checkout display case

National forest week displayThis display is located in a high traffic area across from the checkout desk on the main floor. It has room for posters, brochures, and handouts. Brochure holders are supplied by the library. Dimensions: 35 inches wide by 51 inches high.

Booking: up to 2 weeks at a time.

Lobby display case

Lobby display with remembrance day contentLocated in the front lobby, this display case is built into the wall and can be seen by everyone entering the library. It has a back covered in cork board for pinning posters and light material to. The front of the case has glass doors that can be locked to secure items included in a display.  Dimensions: 3.5 feet high, 5 feet in length, and 8 inches deep.

Booking: up to 2 weeks at a time.

Community kiosk

Kiosk display with map and pamphletsLocated on the main floor, the Community Kiosk is on wheels and can be moved to a couple of high traffic areas. It is ideal as an interactive way to meet and talk with people, similar to an event booth. Posters can be taped to the kiosk, and promotional material displayed on top. The kiosk is hollow and has storage space inside (it isn’t a locked storage area so valuable items should not be left inside when you leave for the day).  Brochure holders and a chair are provided.

Booking: daily, or up to two weeks at a time.

 In-house video screens

Television displaying community advertisementThere are two of these: one on the main floor, and the other on the second floor. They run video ads in a continuous10-minute loop during the library’s open hours.  Non-profit organizations can run ads free of charge. (Please note that the screens run without sound, so they are better suited for videos with text.) Video ads must be in the .wmv format.
