Arts and culture

You can explore local art collections

Bowman Collection

This is a collection of art purchased with funds donated by Dorothy and Jim Bowman and their daughter Carol Bowman. The collection includes four sculptures, forty-eight paintings and art books.  You can view this collection in the library and online.

Frederick Hagan Collection

The Exploration series is a collection of lithographs by the artist Frederick Hagan (1918-2003). The Bau-Xi Gallery represents Frederick Hagan.  

Community Collection

  • Visual & Performing Arts Newmarket (VPAN) Scrapbook 1988-2018. This is a collection of images belonging to Visual and Performing Arts Newmarket, a not-for-profit cultural group. Select the page you would like to see from the menu below the title.
