Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:
The Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination Policy (above) articulates the Newmarket Public Library’s commitment to an inclusive environment for all. In addition, the Library is also a proud member of the Town of Newmarket's Diversity and Inclusion Working Group. One of the main objectives of the Group is to enhance staff knowledge on the concept of diversity and inclusion which will position us well in the face of changing workforce demographics. Staff will have the tools and resources to recognize and embrace each other’s differences in culture, faith, gender, sexual identity/orientation, accessibility, family status, ethnicity, work status, personality, education, age, etc.
