The library complies with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), providing services for people with disabilities.
Accessible building
A wheelchair ramp leads to the main entrance of the library, and an automatic door at the main entrance. Washrooms on the main floor also have round push-to-open door switches at an accessible height. We also have accessible customer service counters and self-service kiosks. There is an elevator between the floors.
Support people and service animals
If you have a disability you can bring your service animal to the library. If you have a support person, that person may attend a program with you at no extra charge.
Accessible collections
We have a wide range of Large Print Books. Find large print books in our catalogue.
We also have a collection of Talking Books. Find talking books in our catalogue.
The library has many online e-resources that are accessible using tools such as large text or a screen reader. EbscoHost has its own built-in article reader.
Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA)
The Centre for Equitable Library Access provides access to over 700, 000 books, magazines and newspapers in a choice of accessible formats that people with print disabilities can read, such as audio, digital text and braille. Library members with a print disability can register for CELA online with their Library card.

Visiting Library Service
