This month we head into fall with good times guaranteed for all. Parents and children can enjoy interactive and engaging drop-in programs, including Music and Movement, Family Storytime, and Out and About Family Storytimes taking place at the Magna Centre. Interested in learning basic computer skills? Get one-on-one support during a 2-day workshop provided by Job Skills. Dance instructor Karishma returns with a family-friendly Bollywood dance program to celebrate Diwali. Enjoy a children’s festival celebrating the Baha'i Twin Holy Days with arts and crafts, and a magic show. Plus, York Cinemania presents the acclaimed film The Great Escaper, starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson. This fall the Library is the place to be!

COMING SOON: Changes to our Interlibrary Loan Service
Later this fall the Library will be transitioning from our current interlibrary loan service, VDX/ZPortal, to a new service used by Ontario public libraries called Resource Sharing for Groups. The changeover is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, after which the old service will no longer be used. Stay tuned for further updates on the new system.

Presented by Newmarket Public Library and East Gwillimbury Public Library, York Cinemania brings independent and award-winning TIFF films to audiences in northern York Region showing at SilverCity Cinemas Newmarket. Metrolinx York-Simcoe Community Engagement Team: Drop-in
The Metrolinx York-Simcoe Community Engagement team will be at the library to provide information on the GO expansion on the Barrie Corridor. Metrolinx is adding an extra track between Union Station and Aurora GO, with a goal of two-way all-day service up to 15 minutes to Bradford GO.
