 What is Pathfinder to Employment?

What is Pathfinders?
   This exciting new community initiative is the result of the collaborative efforts of a dedicated volunteer committee consisting of representatives from various non-profit organizations, local government, the Library Board, Newmarket Public Library and other concerned citizens. Click on the town name to view the proclamations received from the Town of Newmarket and the Town of Aurora. This group has established Pathfinders as a central access point to direct people to the resources and services offered by community-based not-for-profit organizations that will help them with employment transitions, job searches, skills upgrading and career networking opportunities. Pathfinders will alleviate the frustration many people feel when looking for employment assistance, referring individuals to organizations within our community who can assist them. In other words, this valuable service will help individuals find the path to the employment-related resources and information they need.

What does Pathfinders offer your organization?
   As a partner in Pathfinders, there is no cost to participate in the program. Your organization’s programs and services will be promoted in a centralized area of the Library dedicated to Pathfinders, and on the Pathfinders website (with a link back to your organization’s website). In addition, your organization will be mentioned as a community partner in press releases and promotional material issued for Pathfinders. You can also book space in the Library to hold meetings, programs or events free of charge.
