From babies to pre-teens, NPL offers great programs for children all ages. We offer reading clubs, craft workshops, storytime, music and art classes. There’s always something fun happening. Review our Program Schedule and register today.


Advanced Readers Unite image
Advanced Readers
Book Club

For children ages 8-12 who want to read more challenging books. Introduces kids reading well above their grade level to more advanced books such as The Little Prince, Hatchet, and Secret Garden. Meetings take place once a month. First meeting will be October 20th, 7-8 pm.

Reading Buddies

Participate in this great program as a reader or a buddy! Children in grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 meet one-on-one with a high school or adult volunteer tutor for ten one-hour sessions to help improve their reading skills!

NPL Childrens    Library Card

 Kids can choose to get a special library card just for them which can be used to check out books and video games, sign on to a Learning Activity Centre computer, use the Internet and use special databases to research homework.
