	Click the logo to go directly to the Patron-Initiated I.L.L Service What is Patron Initiated Interlibrary Loan? Newmarket Public Library now offers Patron-Initiated Interlibrary Loan. This system allows you to search the holdings of other Ontario libraries if you cannot find what you need here. You can search the database from home or from Newmarket Public Library. Go directly to the Patron-Initiated I.L.L. system: http://info.vdxhost.com Getting Started You must have a valid Newmarket Public Library card. Patrons must register for this service by coming to the library to receive a password for interlibrary loans or send your name, library card number, and telephone number in an email to our Interlibrary Loans Department at aref@newmarketpl.ca We will then contact you with your new password so you are able to access this system. Click here to get the "User Guide for Placing Interlibrary Loan Requests" Requesting an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Click on English or Français Select “Sign In” and enter your User ID (full library card number) and password or (your Pin Number) Choose “Newmarket Public Library” as your library location from the Authentication Service drop down menu. Search for the item you want to request: Select “Standard” or “Advanced” Search Note the “Current Profile” drop down menu. You will use these search profiles to do your searching. Select “SOLS York/Muskoka (shared)” as your first initial search under the “Current Profile” drop down menu. Enter title and/or author keywords. No matches from the first profile? Select a different profile. Search through all the profiles if necessary. Select “Details” to verify this is the item you want. Select “Get it!” to place the request. Item details are automatically generated in the Interlibrary Loan form. Click “Submit” to send your request. There is no need to print the request as you can view the status of your requests at any time using the “My Requests” link. Sign out when you are finished. Many items are available through Interlibrary Loans. Items that are not available through Patron-Initiated Interlibrary Loan. We will notify you when: The item has arrived. You will receive an email notification (if you have provided us with this information) or a phone call. Additional information is needed regarding your request. The request has been cancelled because the item is located at the Newmarket Public Library or we are unable to find the title requested.
