askNPL
Newmarket Public Library was proud to be a partner in Ask Ontario. Beginning soon, NPL will launch an enhanced service initiative simply called askNPL. The service is an improvement in important ways:
- Increased available hours of service.
- Includes SMS/Text messaging service.
- Direct access to NPL’s Information Desk from any mobile device.
- Connect directly to NPL staff every time.
- Expansion of NPL Info Services into Newmarket’s emerging virtual community.
- Enhanced access by integration into website, catalogue, and databases.
- Enhanced library programs by extending participation into our virtual community via special "askNPL Chat events”.
- Stronger relationships among community groups, by leveraging NPL’s York Info to make askNPL the “go to source” for quick, accurate, and current info on all things Newmarket.
The service is inspired by NPL’s 2013-2016 Strategic Plan objective: Ignite Community Dialogue, Discovery and Debate.
