The Canadian artist Frederick Hagan (1918-2003) created his "Exploration" series of lithograph prints, uniquely Canadian works with a historical focus on our nation’s shared past, in 1989. A collection of these works were donated to the Town of Newmarket and are mounted at various locations throughout Newmarket municipal buildings.
As a result of the Shared Digital Infrastructure project, these prints are now accessible online through Newmarket Public Library’s Our Ontario pages. Each print has its own page in Newmarket Public Library's Digital Art Gallery due to the photographic work of the SDI team that captured the prints as mounted in town offices and hallways.
