Get a library card!
Library cards are free if you live in Newmarket or have a current library card from Aurora, Markham, Richmond Hill or Vaughan. To get a library card you can register online or in person. You will need to bring two pieces of identification.

Becoming a volunteer
Our Volunteer centre is in the library. We would be happy to help you look for a place to volunteer.
You can:
- Make an appointment for a person to help you
- Go to our website
- Fill out a form online or in the library
We will look at:
- How much time you have
- Which days of the week you are available
- What your interests are
- What your skills are
- And help you to find a place to volunteer.
