CNIB Library Collection
A partnership between Newmarket Public Library and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) provides individuals with a print disability (which can include visual, physical or learning disabilities) with over 80,000 books in formats that will help them experience the joy of reading. NPL's free Visiting Library Service delivers books and other library materials to individuals who are unable to visit the library due to an illness, restricted mobility, or a physical or visual disability. For more details contact Kelly Towsley 905-953-5110 Ext. 4700
Book Deposit Program
The Children’s Learning Activity Centre is located in the Children’s department. The Centre is equipped with several computer stations with touch screen monitors and loaded with a variety of educational games and activities. There are also two bilingual stations in this area.

York Info provides access to free information and resources to connect you to your community. Located in the Newmarket Public Library, we have a vast array of brochures, posters and information about what is happening in Newmarket and York Region.
We provide reliable information on organizations, services, clubs, and events throughout the York Region as well as volunteer opportunities.
